One of the world’s most expensive oils, Rose de Mai Absolute (rosa damascena), takes 170 flower heads to produce just one drop. The supreme oil of the centre of love, it is used in the creation of 1872, along with fresh sparkling bergamot from Italy, guaiacwood oil (bulnesia sarmienti) from Argentina and jasmine absolute (jasminium grandiflorum), associated with isis, the Egyptian goddess of the moon, it can be found on the banks of the Nile.
