How T.Leclerc got started: 1881, Thophile LeClerc kept a pharmacy near the Place de la Madeleine, the focus of luxury and elegance in Paris. He came from a family of painters, and showed a keen interest in color, light and beauty. In his dispensary, he carried out research on make-up and developed a secret formula for rice powder which gave women an incomparable, velvety complexion.
